About the Fisher Family

Jeanette Fisher discovered Design Psychology in 1986 when her family remodeled this Victorian home, now the Azalea House Bed & Breakfast in Palatka, Florida. Using "traditional" interior design ideas she learned in college, Jeanette first chose interior design details which did not support happy feelings. After years of experimenting and research, the Fisher Family finally perfected transforming an old house into a magical home that encourages joyful living. The Fishers raised their seven children in this Southern painted lady.

Always the practical innovator, Brian Fisher, former Special Ed teacher and accomplished musician, brings Jeanette's ideas to life. Brian did the old house remodel and continues to transform "Doghouses" into "Dollhouses." To see Brian's handiwork visit their business website, Joy to the Home with homes for sale.

The Fishers sold the Victorian home when they could no longer carry their daughter with disabilities upstairs. For more information about the Fisher Family see Saving Sara

Evan Fisher contributed to the research of Design Psychology. Evan received his Bachelor's degree in architecture from the University of Florida and his Master's degree in architecture from Harvard University. Currently, Evan is an Associate at Scheurer Architects, Newport Beach, California.

Enicia Fisher, M.A., book editor and reviewer, taught writing at Principia College. Today, she home-schools her two children and edits Jeanette's books as well as other authors' and tries to find time for her own writing.

Katie Fisher graduated from college in St. Petersburg, Russia with a foreign language degree. You can email Katie in Spanish, Portuguese, or Russian for more information about our work. Katie is translating her mother's books.

Jeanette shares her discoveries in the upcoming book, Joy to the Home. She teaches Design Psychology to interior design students and professional seminars for real estate investors. Jeanette and Brian make stained glass windows
