Australian Student Helped with Thesis by California Professor Jeanette Fisher

Riverside, CA

A college student in Australia asked Jeanette Fisher, Lake Elsinore, Design Psychology instructor, for help with his thesis.

Yuvaraj Kaliaperumal, a student at SAE (School of Audio Engineering) College Byron Bay, Australia, graduates after completing his thesis on designing a recording studio using Design Psychology methods. Raj is from Pulau Pinang, Malaysia.

Raj says he took up audio engineering because of his interest in music and technical engineering. He studied Indian Classical Music for four years, with the Tabla as his major instrument.

His father, also an electrical engineer, taught him how important the role of an engineer is in everyday life. Raj says that both engineers and designers "conceive an idea and practically come out with a functional product."

Raj's dream: to be a studio designer, that was one of the reasons he chose Design Psychology for the research.

Raj also repairs and restores cars taking up his dad's hobby.
